All the materials for worship and news from Sunnyside are included in our newsletter so please ensure to read to the end!

  • If you are joining us for worship online at 10.30am please have some paper available for making a cross.
  • Staff are working from home during the lockdown including our office administrator.
  • Can you help? Sharon needs lots of small pots with lids to put paint in for the April Messy Church bags. Do you have any old camera film pots, clean spice jars or similar that you could donate? Contact Sharon on sharon@sunnysidechurch.org.uk if you think you can help.
  • The home page of our website has dedicated places for prayer and services clearly on the front page.  The services page has the link for our Sunday service.  Materials for Wednesday service are also on the services page - scroll down to the bottom to find them.

Thank you to those who have been busy delivering our Easter card this past week. There is a box in the porch to return the plastic wallets after delivery.

Information about our Holy Week and Easter services is now on our website. Look out for this image on the home page and it will tell you all you need to know about how you can journey with Jesus through Holy Week and celebrate Easter. Alternatively, pick up a card from church for yourself. Why not take one for a neighbour too? If you can't wait click below for a preview!

A link to the town wide Good Friday service which will go live at 10am on Friday will be added as soon as it is available.

Please note, there will not be separate materials for our Wednesday morning service. Do use the Holy Week material for Wednesday.

Booking for the Maundy Thursday and 9am Easter Sunday services is now available on our website.  Click the link below to find out more.

This year for Palm Sunday we will all be making our own Palm Crosses at home to remind us of Jesus' journey towards Jerusalem, You will need a strip of paper to make your cross. Read on for some visual and written instructions to help.

Weekend Away at Sunnyside

We are all disappointed that we have had to postpone our weekend away at High Leigh again. It will now take place 30th September - 2nd October 2022 (please note corrected dates!). As this is a long time away, the exciting news is that we are going to hold a weekend away at Sunnyside Saturday 17th - Sunday 18th July 2021. More details to follow after Easter but do put these dates in your diaries!

The PCC met on Monday evening. The main item on the agenda was approving the Annual Report which is an important document that details what we did in 2020 and includes the accounts for the year. The PCC also agreed how we would hold a one off financial appeal in late April; to some exciting initiatives to serve our community; and to us having a weekend away at home. More information about all these things will come soon!

At the Annual Meeting in April, we will be electing four new members of the PCC. If you would like to consider standing, please speak to Rebecca. There is more information about what is involved in the link below
