Welcome to the 2021 Season at Kalamunda & Districts JFC - home of the mighty Tigers!

After the restrictions of COVID last season we are pumped and ready to go.  There has been many changes within the club over the past few months with the changing of the Guard in many long standing roles on the committee.

I would like to at this time acknowledge and thank our retiring committee members President Mike Davis, Registrar Mike Perry and Merchandise Manager Barry Grieves for their many, many years of committment and hard work around the club.

2021 brings in new faces, ideas and enthuasism to our committee and club. I would like to welcome back Brad Booth as Vice President, Shane Bradley as Secretary, Scott Smith as Treasurer, Jodie Murray as Female Football Coordinator, Mel Stoffels and Andrea Bold as Executive Committee Members.  Welcome aboard to our new Committee Members Suellen Howlett as Registrar, Leona Broughton as Merchandise and Rob Steuart as the Auskick Co-Ordinator.

We are here to listen to your ideas and suggestions on what your child/children are wanting out of their football experience.  It maybe be fun, friendship, fitness, development and experiences.  So please keep on sending your feedback in to registrar@kdjfc.com.au

This year we will have over 100 Auskicker's joining our club every Saturday morning ranging from Pre-Primary to Year 2.  We welcome new families and players to our club and hope everyone has fun, learns many new skills, practice at home what you learn; as well as enjoying upcoming events such as the Gala Days and Club Parade Days at Swans Districts.

Our Female Footballers have started their season early with the opportunity to play a scratch match down on the Steel Blue Oval after a AFLWL game.  We have nominated female football teams in all age divisions.  Mods teams year 3/4, year 5/6 and Youth sides year 7/8, year 9/10 and year 11/12.  Friday night football under lights we be exciting times for these young ladies.  We hope you can come down and show them your support and we wish them the very best for the season ahead.  Players are still needed for all female year groups, so please encourage your daughters to bring a friend to their next training session.

Male Mods teams remain very strong with 2x year 3, 2x year 4, 3x year 5 and 2x year 6 sides.  We are currently trying to fix dates in at the moment for Little Leagues matches at half time at a couple of Swan Districts games.

Youth sides are solid with nominations in each year groups Year 7-12.  We are continuing to push our players hard to meet their potential and are proud of the high number of players being accepted into development squads and programs.

The club is also working hard with Swans and WAFC to provide training and development of our coaches and players.  Keep your eyes out for representatives from these associations around the club, as they visit and provide guidance to both coaches and our players.

A large project around the club is due to take shape this season with the refurbishment of our club and change rooms.  Other projects on the go:

  • New merchandise and branding of the club.  Already our mods are running out to training looking very sharp in their new training shirts.
  • New website, FaceBook page and online merchandise shop is beng worked on by Mel & Leona.

Kind Regards,
Dave Feast
