GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER AT SPIRIT OF JOY
On Good Friday we encourage you to join us throughout the day for the Service of Shadows. This will be a recorded service that is available online at sojchurch.com beginning at 8am. The Service will include readings of the seven last words, special music, and hymns for you to join and sing at home.

On Sunday, April 4th we will begin our Easter morning with Sunrise Service at 6:30am on the land near the cross. Please bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on for the service. The 9am Easter Celebration Service will include special music, Holy Communion, and Easter Message. Plan to join us on the property in person, or live stream. We will have the Easter Bunny with us for the children, greeting all who join us on the land, with special gifts for all of the children. (Reminder to the children: There are Spirit of Joy rocks hidden throughout Ramona. Find one and bring it to church for a special prize.)

To All Spirit of Joy Members and Interested Parties:
As you are aware, the Church Council as directed by the results of our recent vote, is preparing to offer our property up for sale. If we still own the property on November 1, 2022, Thrivent will likely take over and sell the property for the approximately $1.7 million that we owe them. The property has recently been valued at over $3 million. If we can sell at somewhere close to this number, Spirit of Joy will receive the balance.
For this reason it is imperative that we keep paying our monthly mortgage to Thrivent in order to prevent them from foreclosing on the property before we can sell it. Currently our monthly mortgage is $7,385.21 and this will increase to $9,206 on July 1, 2021.
Our Building Fund contributions on March 7 were $2,775.
Our Building Fund contributions for March 14 were $535.
As mentioned above, to provide us with the best opportunity to sell the property at an advantageous price for Spirit of Joy, please prayerfully consider contributing to the Building Fund on a regular basis.

PROJECT MERCY
For outreach ministry at Spirit of Joy we will be joining Project Mercy on Saturday, April 24th, for another house build for a family in Mexico. We will build the home in pieces in Chula Vista (including the walls, stairs, and painting). Thank you for your response - we now have all of the volunteers needed for this build! It is a tremendous experience, and we are in collaboration with Lutheran Church of the Incarnation in Poway on this project.

We are so thankful that we are able to gather in the back room of our church facility for meetings, Prayers and Squares, and Bible Studies! Each group will be able to have a maximum of 8 persons at this time. Everyone will receive a temperature check and be asked to wear a mask. Each group meeting will be asked to use the cleaning agents available in the back room for cleaning after each gathering. We look forward to having our gatherings, and ask that everyone follow the safety guidelines that have been in place at Spirit of Joy since we began our worship together on the church building site.

Safety Procedure for Worship
We encourage your arrival between 8-8:45am for set up. Everyone is encouraged to wear masks on entry and departure on the church property. Bring your own chairs, pop-ups, umbrellas, and bottled water. To insure your safety, we will have a table with prepackaged communion (1st and 3rd Sunday each month), bulletins (also a digital bulletin is available on your electronic devices), and temperature check. Please practice social distancing of at least 6ft of separation per family unit. Trash cans are available to dispose of all trash upon leaving. If for any reason you are not feeling well, at higher risk, or uncomfortable with attending, we invite you to enjoy the service live-streamed. If you prefer staying in your car, there will be a designated area for you to do so.
