THIS WEEKS UPDATE - 29nd March 2021
Good Morning...
A lot of movement in the market this week which has been expected after the devastating rains we've experienced down the East coast of Australia. Damaged crops have caused prices to increase significantly on popular lines as well as difficult and lengthy road transportation.
Items which have markedly increased are Asparagus, Chinese Veg, Herbs, Leafy Vegetables, Corn, Lebanese cucumbers, all Orange varieties, with slight increase for Tomato varieties. Last week's hikes for Broccoli and Cauliflower have been heavily reduced this week.
Stone fruit quality is not at its best as season is starting to come to a close.
We are starting to see New Season Mandarines trickle in but are still highly priced.
Just a friendly reminder about our easter closure dates this week. We are closed on Friday 2nd April and Monday 6th April, as usual when we have double deliveries we cannot promise early delivery but will do our utmost to get to everyone in a timely manner. If possible, please contact us to advise your preferred substitute day for delivery, and advance notice of orders is greatly appreciated.
As always, should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us
Wishing everyone a Happy and Safe Easter.
