UNWRA Spring Luncheon

May 7, 2021

Going Virtual

Our UNWRA spring luncheon will be held in cooperation with the Scholarship Symposium on May 7. Unfortunately, we will not be having our in-person luncheon in the Youderian Missional Center due to COVID health precautions. Instead, you are invited to participate in the Scholarship Symposium sessions. We will be hosting a live ZOOM call with UNWRA members in the afternoon one hour before the keynote speaker presentation.

Portions of the Scholarship Symposium will be in person and portions will be offered in a virtual format. The morning session presentations will be entirely virtual. The keynote speaker, faculty awards, and author’s reception will be in person as well as available to view online.

More details about the schedule will be posted in our May 2021 UNWRA eNewsletter.
Scholarship Symposium

May 7, 2021

The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Melissa Mork, Professor and Chair in the Department of Psychology, Criminal Justice & Law Enforcement

The Title of the Keynote Session is: Now What? Post-traumatic Growth, Resilience and Grit following COVID-19

Abstract: This past year has held so much loss, and now we are all asking some hard questions: What have we lost? Is this grief? When did we experience trauma? How shall we cope? What does re-entry look like? Who have we become? In this presentation, Dr. Mork will explore the questions that many of us are asking, and she will offer evidence-based strategies for post-COVID coping and resilience.
