Friday 26th March 2021

Dear families,

Thank you for helping us to keep everyone safe!

The safety measures put in place back in Sept are still relevant.

If you wish to chat with staff, please ring and ask for a telephone appointment - please do not come to school, or approach staff at the gates / classroom doors!

Keeping everyone safe from the virus will keep all class Bubbles fully open, and nobody will need to isolate for 10 days.

Thank you to all families who continue to support keeping our school community safe.

Take Care,
Take Action, &

Stay Safe:

So we can get back to normal quicker!

Open Afternoon

We know that you are all busy.

If you missed your open afternoon phone call from school do not worry.
We will continue to try to contact you.

Thank you for working together with teachers for the interests of your children.

Healthy School,

Healthy Child,

Healthy Mind!

Parents, please remember that we are a healthy school!

We are increasingly getting snacks that are not appropriate -  e.g sandwiches at break time, breakfast bars loaded with sugar, chocolates and we have even had 2 large share bags of Haribo!

Children, as a healthy school, we do not want to see sweets and chocolate in school!

Please leave them at home and eat them as a treat when your teeth can be brushed straight after eating!

Fruit should be used for snacks!
Or click on the Strawberries above for more healthy ideas.

Wellbeing  Award

Thank you for sending your Wellbeing questionnaire replies to Ms Trayer. Your comments were kind and warmed our hearts.

We are delighted to let you know that the children, staff, and parents have worked together to gain the Wellbeing Award for SMAAA.

The assessors of the award commented that...

  • School is open to talking about Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Everyone has the opportunity to be cared for in school.
  • 5 Ways to Wellbeing is used positively.
  • The Children “get” and can discuss the meaning of Mental Health wellbeing and how is it put into practice

Give yourselves a pat on the back!

Life Skills

Crossing The Road

We spend lots of time in our cars.
Let’s remind our children of the key messages about crossing the road safely.
Click on Tufty to watch the video, and see how Tufty safely crosses the road!

Take some time this weekend to teach your child how to cross the road safely.

Send us a picture or video to prove you have mastered this skill!

Send us a picture via Google Classroom or Admin@smaaa.info

Covid-19 Information
Covid-19 Rapid Testing For Parents

Regular rapid testing is now available for parents, their households and bubbles.

Regular rapid testing is a fast and easy way to find out if you have coronavirus and help protect your loved ones and our community.

It’s free and takes around 30 minutes.

Click on the leaflet below to find out more.

Remember:

If anyone in a household is sick or showing signs of illness;
nobody from the household should come near school.

If someone is waiting for a Covid-19 test result
the whole household should not come near school!

If anyone in household has a cough, temperature, or loss of smell,
then a PCR test is needed, at a test centre, lateral flow tests cannot be used!

We do not want anyone put at risk!

Please note that the situation around Corona virus is rapidly changing and the information is correct at the time of sending this communication.

We will be updating further, as we have further information available.
