Too good to be true?

No, it isn't! One of the great things about the course Language Teaching for the Planet is that participants create a lesson activity that they can use and then upload it to a Padlet where they can read each other's work. This creates an ever-growing bank of activities created by participants in each cohort of the course.

Now you too can benefit from this and see the amazing work that has been created here and even use it in your class.

Green Standard Schools

We are currently very busy! As well as preparing for the next course cohort, ELTsustainable has recently been commissioned to write a series of lesson plans focusing on environmental sustainability for a new association called Green Standard Schools that has been set up to guide language schools everywhere to a greener and more sustainable future. GSS also awards accreditation to schools that can demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability. If you'd like to find out more, or if you think you might be able to persuade your school managers to adopt more sustainable practices, have a look at the GSS website:

What do course participants think of the tutor?

If you are thinking about joining the April cohort you are probably wondering what the tutor is like. Ben is the tutor on the course Language Teaching for the Planet. What do participants think of him? Read what former participant Justine says:

For me Ben has been a skilled tutor who helped the participants to feel confident  and positive during the course. His ideas on the issue and his responses to our questions demonstrated his involvement in the fight for a "greener planet"
I can remember his relevant feedback on the test l gave my students on a text entitled Business goes green. He really appreciated the writing of the slogan by the learners.
Ben provided much input during the course to boost interaction and collaboration with the trainees .
In a nutshell, he caused a beneficial impact on us in a very friendly way from Avenida de los  Naranjos.

"I'd really like to endorse this course. It was excellent. We were encouraged to share our ideas and discuss solutions in a non-threatening and positive environment. The group was excellent and full of inspiring participants. And Owain's manner and form of delivery were constantly supportive, encouraging, and positive. Go for it!"
