Hello, <<First Name>>

I can't believe Spring is here already. The big thing right now in the Peters' household is Abby's school is moving to a hybrid model. I'm a little sad, because I've really enjoyed seeing my little girl during the day, but I also understand she is starting to need to be around other people. Wish us luck as we navigate these new waters!

How are things going in your world? What's some of the good news you can share to brighten the next Zoom call you are on? While you are at it, you could share some of that good news with us, too. Check out the Horntooting section down below for information on how to do that.

As always, we would love to hear what you think or would like to see. Send ideas to me at gpeters@thereluctantnetworker.com.

Until we see you again (maybe at one of our upcoming lunches or 21-21-21 training programs?), go out and make some great connections!

Kerri BrimmerYOU WON’T NEED A SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT COMPANY IF YOU DO THESE 4 THINGS

A social media management company is responsible for representing their clients online. They inherit their clients’ voices, and communicate with their target audiences through content, comments, and campaigns. The ultimate goal of a social media manager is to increase your brand awareness, improve website traffic, and generate more leads. Most companies look to hire someone to manage their social media because they don’t have the time or know-how to carry it out themselves. But today, we are here on the contrary! We’ve cracked the code to being your own social media management company. Read on to discover the 4 things you must do to run your social media in-house like a pro.

MAKE A GAME PLAN
Making a game plan is the first step in avoiding the task of hiring a social media management company. In our world, we call this a marketing strategy. To develop your strategy, you’ll need to:
  1. diagnose your challenge (Increase sales? Generate leads? Showcase value?)
  2. develop a solution to your challenge (Social media posts, ads, engagement, etc?)
  3. identify targeted actions that are necessary to accomplish your solution
  4. get to work!

Quick Tip

Find a wingman
Are you uncomfortable going to a networking event by yourself? Then don't! Find yourself a networking partner. This isn't the person you are going to talk with for the entire event (you could go for coffee for better results). This is someone who will keep you accountable, give you moral support, and make introductions to the people you are trying to meet.
