Keep your dog on leash and respect other hikers. Learn how to deal with dog poop on a long hike or backpacking trip. Leave no trace! Know the most common dangers and threats to dogs while hiking in your area. Learn how to fit and load your dog’s pack properly. Make sure to watch the weight and load it evenly.
