Lord, I'm coming home.

The great prince of preachers, W.A. Criswell, used a phrase I have often borrowed:  "All that human hands could do, we have done."

Ministry assignments are completed.  Not one assignment was missed.  Negative covid test and other flight documents are printed and in hand.  At midnight tonight (4 P.M. CDST) I leave Nairobi for Amsterdam, then on to Atlanta, Little Rock, and Wednesday night Apple Blossom Circle in Hot Springs, AR.  Getting me there is in God's hands via KLM and Delta.

Waiting days at the Nariboi airport hotel are often melancholy days for me.  I am always ready for home, Teresa and family.  But, I am never finished with ministry here in Kenya.

I tweeted this morning (follow me @lightministries):
In the early days of ministry my goal was to "do great exploits FOR God."  Now, my goal is a life of obedience TO God, so I can joi HIm in His work, leaving the results to Him.  Not me...but Thee.

My pace may have slowed a step or two, but my God-given persistence is as strong as every.  My Kenyan partners always pray for length of days for me.  If God answers their prayers I hope many of those days will be spent under the African equatorial sun--teaching, preaching, and making disciples.

I owe a debt of thanks to Teresa, who once again stayed behind to keep the office running and to cover me in prayer.
A thank you to all who prayed me here and will now pray me home.  And a special thank you to my friends who gifted me the funds to fly business class on this trip.  It was a game-changer coming and I'm sure it will be going home as well.

Today will go slow.  I will write the April prayer letter in order to get it to you on my return.  A few last phone calls to pastors I did not get to see face-to-face.  A negotation with the local Yamaha dealership as I try to replace evangelist Florence's worn out motorbike (desert region of Lodwar).

It is a cooler, rainy day in Nairobi.  The rainy season is soon to begin.  That means that ministry travel (for me) must take a hiatus as we await the return of sunshine and dry roads.
Lord willing, I will be back in late 2021.  Because you send, I continue to go.

Enjoy the read.

Your prayer = our fuel.

Because you send, we continue to go and give.

By grace, your brother,
Mike Curry
