Dear Friends,

"But You, oh Lord, your mercy-seat love is limitless, reaching higher than the highest heavens.
Your great faithfulness is infinite, stretching over the whole earth.
Your righteousness is unmovable, just like the mighty mountains.
Your judgements are as full of wisdom as the oceans full of water.
Your tender care and kindness leave no one forgotten, not a man nor even a mouse.
Oh God, how extravagant is your cherishing love!"

~ Psalm 36:5-7, TPT

Maintaining our focus on the only One who never changes is the key to maintaining our grip on sanity! While we see the world around us dissolving into chaos, shaken more each day, our only hope is in Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

In a miraculous turn of events, our schools are open! What a jubilant victory this is! We are so happy to have 35 Bible School students (socially distanced) and 16 Vocational Centre students. It is a joy to see their expectant faces awaiting the words of our team, their teachers, ready for the infilling of God's plan for their lives. His faithfulness is infinite!

As our country currently has limited all religious services of any kind, our devotions, praise and prayer have to be rather constrained, which is a big effort for us, as those of you who know what praise and worship at Afrika wa Yesu is usually like will know! We were expecting the president to declare worship meetings open after Easter – but last night he further extended our state of emergency another 21 days - schools can stay open, but churches are still closed. His judgements are full of wisdom.

The insurgent military attacks in the north have intensified, with tens of thousands of people fleeing for their lives, loved ones missing and terrible atrocities taking place. There is so much confusion regarding motive and even regarding the government response to the situation. Our hearts break to know the trauma so many families are dealing with, and we feel quite useless in our limited capacity to respond in any way. Here is a news report on the situation. He leaves no one forgotten.

Please continue to pray with us - against every scheme of the enemy which is designed to render the word of the saints as ineffective. As much as the opposition to the work of the ministry intensifies, we will not give up or abandon our mission of extending the Kingdom of God in all areas we can! His righteousness in unmovable!

Together for His Glory,
Chris and Debs,
Gabriel, Ashira, Mikayla

and all at Afrika Wa Yesu
He Leaves No One Forgotten
Food distribution among Afrika Wa Yesu church members in the north - a very late and very short rainy season meant failed crops, and many have been displaced due to the insurgent activity. Thank you for partnering with us to meet both physical and spiritual needs. You are affecting lives for Jesus.
His Faithfulness is Infinite
Some of our Nacala team travelled to Milange, near the Malawi border, to assemble a church structure for believers there. Church growth is always an encouragement to see! From here, the believers can make bricks to fill in the sides of the building and develop the property further. Thank you for being a Kingdom-Builder!
His Love is Limitless
Always be prepared! Although many in-person classes have opened, we are still waiting for permission to move forward with our Kids Clubs. However, when the day comes that we receive the go-ahead, we will be ready! Here, teachers from the Muzuane (Nacala) Kids Club assemble visors for the children for ¼ of the purchase cost. A generous donation made up the rest of the visors needed to equip the preschool. Thank you for sponsoring Mozambique's future - our children!
His Judgements are Full of Wisdom
Such joy to have the campus full of students again, worshipping together, studying the word, developing friendships, and growing closer to God in relationship and in understanding of their identity and destiny in Him.
Behind the scenes - securing our charcoal storage area, cooking nshima for the students, catching up in the office!
Africa's favourite pastime...
RESURRECTION SUNDAY - Celebrating with praise while driving around the city with scripture banners hung on the truck.
Oh God, how extravagant is your cherishing love!"
