Here's something to read while you're in lockdown.

As I send this latest newsletter on its way into your electronic devices, I can't help but marvel at our good fortune, not at finding ourselves in lockdown once again, but that it should have come just days after we  celebrated Seder Pesach in a traditional fashion this year.

On the eve of Pesach, as cases of Covid-19 started to materialise in the community, it was looking like a repeat of 2020, and I was doubtful that we would be able to have anyone attend our Seder and, for a while, I was contemplating the prospect of Haim and me consuming the multitude of Gefilte Fish shimmering in jelly, the mounds of Charoset, newly chopped, and the copious quantities of all manner of festive foods wallowing in our refrigerator, for months to come.

Let's hope that the cases of Covid-19 in Queensland do not multiply like the plagues in Egypt and that lockdown can come to a swift end.  To all who are in line to receive the vaccine this month and to all those still months away from receiving it, WIZO wishes you good health. Stay safe.
