Developed by our Board in consultation with staff, volunteers, health partners and government, and facilitated by PwC, our plan has been created under three core themes: Patient treatment, Skills transfer and education and Prevention and research. The 2021-2024 plan builds on our decade of achievements, and continues to be delivered primarily by volunteers.
Over the next four years, our focus will be directed towards delivering activities under four main goals:
Goal 1: Help grow the capacity of Timor-Leste to deliver quality heart health care;
Goal 2: Save more lives through access to surgery;
Goal 3: Partner with leading local organisations to prevent and reduce the burden of heart disease in Timor-Leste; and
Goal 4: Strengthen our organisation and grow our community of supporters.
We are grateful to our volunteer Board and committees for their dedication over many months to deliver our new strategic plan, to drive greater positive health outcomes for heart patients and their communities in Timor-Leste.
Your ongoing support unites you with like-minded people who share your passion to improve access to vital heart health services. Now, more than ever, patients in Timor-Leste are waiting for effective medical treatment that we take for granted here in Australia.
