Global Accessibility Awareness Day - May 20
Join us on Thursday, May 20, and mark the tenth Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) access/inclusion and people with different disabilities.

On Friday, May 21 at 1 p.m., Talking Book Service is hosting a program - in collaboration with The Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired - for the Low Vision Resource Group.

Hear from Mr. Alexander Castillo from the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired, who will detail the services available, how to receive them, and any changes taking place due to COVID.

Join Ms. Eli from her home for this virtual Spanish-English storytime. Sing songs and she'll read a book or two. Intended for ages 2 to 4, but all children and families are welcome to join in!
Who’s an Immigrant?

Through music, learn the lesser-known stories about why Asians migrated to the U.S. and their experiences here. The topics discussed include naturalization laws, refugees, and transnational adoption.
