Old Way Update

It's been a busy month for Dawn, our Old Way Project Leader, as our work with communities along the Old Way route continues apace. Highlights of the month have been seeing the first bluebells in bloom, heralding warmer days ahead, and meeting some of the amazing team of volunteers at St Peter and Paul’s in Saltwood. They are out every week working to keep the churchyard in absolutely immaculate condition, and it's already a riot of colour. The volunteers were delighted to discover they are on the Old Way route and are looking forward to welcoming pilgrims in the future.

Dawn has also been delivering online lectures for pilgrim, community and parish groups; if you would like your group to find out more about pilgrimage and have a taste of the Old Way, get in touch to make a booking. All funds raised from our talks help to make this remarkable pilgrimage route accessible for everyone.

Work is still continuing to refine the route, and survey for waymarking. The Battle to Canterbury stretch is nearly complete - only 13.5 miles to go!
