Paradoxia came to me to teach me about paradoxes, how to move from living in a Duality Paradigm (either/or) to a Paradox State which allows both/and. She wants you to get to know her, too, so you can
Understand yourself better,
Heal your inner divide,
Love and accept all the facets of yourself.
From the Harper Collins English Dictionary
Paradox (noun) par·a·dox
1. Countable noun: A situation is a paradox when it involves two or more facts or qualities that seem to contradict each other.
2. Variable noun: A statement is a paradox when it seems that if one part of it is true, the other part of it cannot be true.
Paradox is everywhere, with examples in our daily lives, in literature, and in the scientific world. What we’re exploring in this session are our inner paradoxes, the ways we are divided inside that cause us to deny or suppress parts of ourselves.
When we avoid accepting paradox, we tend to believe that we can express one part of ourselves but not the other which creates confusion, inner conflict, and a tendency to make ourselves wrong.
If I am this, I can’t be that. For example:
- If I take care of myself I can’t take care of others well enough.
- If I am a leader, I can’t be a follower.
- If I forgive, I can’t also harbor anger or hurt.
- If I am happy, I can’t also be sad.
Most of our inner paradoxes are very personal, so we can’t compare ours with others. What comes through as contradictory for each of us depends on our upbringing and how we internalized the events and teachings in our life, and what meaning and stories we created about ourselves based on them.
On The Birth of Paradoxia invitation page, you will find a list of inner paradoxes that might resonate with you. Class starts on May 4th, so there’s still time to order your supplies and take advantage of the early bird price through this Sunday, April 18th.
During the course, I will guide you throughinquiries, visualization, and an Intentional Creativity® portrait painting process that will support your deep dive within yourself. This creative process engages both sides of your brain which start the integration process and anyone can do it… promise!!!
