Hello City Roots Friends!

A reminder that in place of our monthly general meeting today, we will be encouraging you to attend the Climate of Change event How to Build a Thriving Region on a Healthy Planet, a panel discussion featuring our own Joe Di Fiore! The event starts at 5:30pm, so be sure to register ahead of time.

This Saturday from 12-6pm we will be having another Clean-Up Volunteer Event at 24 Cady St! Sign up here for a timeslot. Some of the work left to do includes cleaning up trash, tearing down some wall panels and drop ceilings, and pulling out some electrical and plumbing systems. If you have tools such as a cordless drill, hammer, crowbar, wrench, rake, spade and flat shovel, pruners, gloves, flat head screwdriver, needle nose pliers, please bring them! We hope to see you there!

Also, please sign up here for our mini-volunteer days at 257 Hazelwood everyday this week from 4pm-7pm! Stop by to help out for as long as you can, get a chance to catch up with some of your fellow members, and help us pull out some old carpet staples!
Lastly we have some huge, exciting news: we have added 7 more properties into the CLT! These properties were among the most distressed occupied housing in our city with more than 250 code violations! This is a BIG win for City Roots, the tenants, and the community as a whole. Now more than ever we need your support so that we can fix up these homes and ensure our new tenants have the quality housing they deserve!

As always, please join one of our committees! We have 4 committees up and running now, with a Stewardship committee forming on the horizon. For more information about when these committees meet check out our website: https://www.cityrootsclt.org/get-involved/. And join us on Slack! Slack is a great way to stay connected with your fellow CLT members and see what has been going on in the organization.
