Dear Supporters,

We hope you enjoyed our virtual contributions to the arts programming for HerringFest last month.

March was filled with good news and real progress. Have a look at the photo below of the construction site for the Arts Centre, complete with pink flagging tape! We also received our first grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to host a virtual arts summit for both Hornby and Denman Islands, who we believe have about 15 arts societies between them. Our pivot grant to BC Arts Council went well, and Zsofin and others are busy collecting more material for upcoming presentations. Our summer youth hires should proceed soon, pending funding, and we'll have more news on all these fronts in May.

The VERY BIG NEWS in this newsletter is our search for a full time Arts Programmer to join our team! We welcome your help in spreading the word. Please see the short description below and head over to www.hornbyarts.com/opportunities to get all the details.

All the best,

Andrew Mark, ED
