As we enter Spring, we are happy to share just how much we have accomplished as the city’s central digital source for connecting the small business community to resources to start, grow or accelerate their businesses. In the year 2020, we facilitated over 700 connections via our resource navigator and navigator staff. As a connector and scaling initiative, we are proud to share how ChiBizHub facilitates #connections for our small business community to access #capital, #talent, and #location resources across the city. This showcases how integral and valuable our community business organizations are to the vibrancy of Chicago’s neighborhood economic growth.
Gearing into local #recovery efforts across the city, we also share with you a more strategic approach to our work by focusing on growing our provider network within the workforce space to make #talent more accessible to you. We are also dedicated to growing our active client list by targeting our top five growth industries in TD&L, manufacturing, research and tech, life sciences, among other sectors.
With our vibrant business community in mind, we also launched a new website, including a more clean and sleek design to meet the needs of our users. If you haven’t already, take a moment to visit our #COVID19 resource page that houses the most up to date information to sustain your business. We also include new language assets for our AAPI and Spanish speaking communities.
In closing, I’ll share with you an opportunity I had to sit down with a #risingstar in our community, Founder, Osvaldo Montelongo, of ConnectCareHero, a digital social platform that combats social isolation by bringing engaging & diverse virtual activities to adults 65+ wherever they are. In the video below, Montelongo shares exactly how Chicago’s high growth healthcare innovation industry has fostered an environment for him to fill a gap where he saw a need.
