New York Dairy Farmers Volunteer at Milk Drive to Support Local Families
Today, Slade, Kristin and Merret Cox from Ox Cart Dairy in Cato, N.Y., joined ADA North East, the Food Bank of Central New York and other local community organizations to provide 800 boxes of milk, dairy products and other food to local families in Oswego, N.Y., through the Farmers to Families Food Box program with USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) government-funded grants.

Local Dairy Farmers Host Adopt-A-Cow Live Video Chats with Student Participants
New York and Pennsylvania dairy farmers are making a connection with thousands of students through the Adopt-A-Cow program hosted by the Pennsylvania Center for Dairy Excellence (CDE) with support from ADA North East. The farmers are welcoming those students onto their farms through live video chats, where each farmer gives an update on the students’ adopted calves and a live walk-through of the farm. Nate Chittenden of Dutch Hollow Farm in Schodack Landing, N.Y., provided the first tour on April 7.
