The library is open & operating as normal
with Covid safety guidelines

The latest provincial Covid orders do not affect our daily operation. The Library is still open to browse shelves, access print/fax/scan & computer services, and free exam proctoring. Patrons are welcome to come inside the library with a limit of 6 people at a time. Please try to limit your visit to 15 minutes or less. Masks required. No mezzanine seating available. Curbside service is available during our open hours.

Printing and Fax services available

Please email us the documents and we will print for you to help limit contact. Email publiclibrary@invermere.net. In the email let us know if you want it in B&W ($0.25/page), Colour ($0.75/page), single or double-sided & a rough time of when you'll be by to pick it up. We are also happy to scan, photocopy and fax documents for you. One computer is also available for use for 45 minute session only.

Family Story Time

Out of an abundance of caution, we will be continuing with virtual story time into May. We’re planning to resume in-person story time in June—we are as eager as you for live story time!
Join us on our Facebook page Friday mornings at 10:30 for stories and songs! Find a craft kit by the front door afterwards.
May 7th will be a Mother’s Day themed story time &
May 14th will be a special Wings Over the Rockies theme!

We’ll bring your books to Canal Flats!

We have a holds shelf in the Canal Flats Village Office to bring books to you and save you the trip into Invermere. Contact us by Tuesday at the latest so we can get the books to the office for Thursday when they are open to the public. Books will be dropped off once a week and can be return to the orange drop box outside the office.

In April we hired a new student page, Clare Hatalcik. Clare will help with shelving, craft prep, book displays and more. We are happy to have her join us! Make sure to say hi next time you’re in the library.

Free Ancestry Access from Home!

Remote access has been extended until the end of June 2021!

CRA: Benefits and Credits Presentations

Don’t miss out on the benefits and credits to which you may be entitled. Some of the benefits and credits to which you may be eligible for are the Canada child benefit, Disability tax credit, Child disability benefit, Goods and Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax Credit, and the Canada Workers Benefit. If you do your taxes after the filing deadline, your payments could be delayed. During the webinar we will be able to answer your questions live.

Book Donation Centre

Has spring cleaning left you with a pile or two of books you no longer need?
Donate them to the library!

The Friends of Invermere Library welcome donations of gently used books at the Book Donation Centre across the street from the library.
Please place books in bags or boxes and leave them in the Book Donation Cabinet.
Books will be sorted into categories for the BIG Book Sale in the summer.
Please do not bring damaged books, textbooks, magazines, Reader’s Digest condensed books or computer manuals.
All funds raised support our library!
