Student Progress
Please check the progress your student is making at portal.dpsk12.org to ensure they are demonstrating learning in all of their classes.
Fridays
North is available for student support on Fridays from 8:00am - 1:00pm. Students who have outstanding work should plan to work from North on Fridays if they are able to do so for a structured environment. Students will connect to their supports through their computer and there will be in person adults present as well.
In Person Learning
We know that in person learning is not possible for everyone, but we also know that students who are learning in person are outperforming those who are learning virtually. If you would like your student to learn in person and they are healthy to do so, please send them. We no longer need to have forms filled out for students to attend in person.
Free Tutoring
If your student would benefit from tutoring, there is a phenomenal free tutoring service. Check it out at: https://schoolhouse.world/. There are overview sessions coming up and you can learn more about the services by CLICKING HERE.
COVID-19 Update at North
We still have not had any transmission of COVID-19 for in person learning at North. We applaud the families who have quickly notified us of confirmed cases of COVID-19 from outside of North so that we can inform students and families in classes so there is collective awareness. Please continue to share anything that you know related to COVID-19.

As of April 2, 2021, Colorado is in Phase 2 of vaccine distribution. All Coloradans 16 and older are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine, and all Coloradans 18 and older are eligible to receive the Moderna or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine.
Food Support for North Families!
North is excited to expand its food support plan for any North student or family in the month of April and May. North recognizes the importance of not just educating our community but making sure basic needs are meet.
Please CLICK LINK and complete the short form to communicate your family's need. All pick up of food will occur at North on Thursdays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, beginning on April 15.

Spring Home Visit Week- April 26th-May 9th

Too often, a home visit from a teacher means one thing to a family: trouble. BUT not for us! North Parent/Guardian Teacher Home Visit (PTHV) Program, the goal is to start by building a strong and positive relationship between the family and the school. We are excited to visit and chat with you and your family!! Visits can be Virtual or in person using social distancing.

Vaccines for Students
We are excited to share that anyone associated with a DPS staff member (that means you!) have an opportunity to sign up to receive a COVID-19 vaccine through our partners at Children's Hospital Colorado. As a Pfizer-only vaccine clinic, they are able to provide vaccine appointments to both eligible DPS students (those 16 and older) and their family members.

Our panel of experts will address strategies for talking with your teen about the health and safety risks of marijuana and alcohol and provide insight on how to help your child find mental health support on campus. Hear from a panel of experts, Chris Lord of CU Boulder, Lynann Butler of Metro State and Dana Kobold of Red Rocks Community College will provide support and strategies to empower parents.
