‘What is the point of taking time off work when I can’t go away?’ See the CPAS ideas on How to Holiday at Home for your particular context - here

Take it: From a wellbeing perspective it is very important to take some time away from work especially given we don’t know how long this pandemic is going to go on for. However, we might need to be more creative and intentional than usual.

Protect it: Communicate to your colleagues and parishioners that although you will be at home, you are not available for the duration of your time away from work and stick to this boundary by turning off and putting your work technology somewhere where you can’t be tempted to check it.

Plan it : Before your time off plan 1-2 things you would like to enjoy, 1-2 people who you would like to connect with whilst you are off and 1-2 things that you would feel great if you had achieved whilst away from work. See -
https://johnmarkcomer.com/blog/unhurry

Spend on it: How much do you usually spend on a holiday? Decide a similar budget eg. Like wine and/ or eating? Using a map, plan a tour of a region in France, Spain, South Africa etc and buy wines/ cook meals from this region and share with a friend – either online or in the garden.
Vocation stories to share

Every step of the way - the diocese has supported us.
Ahead of Vocation Sunday (25 April), we hear from 12 people across the diocese describing how the Diocese has encouraged, equipped & supported them in their vocation.

Please share these stories to encourage more people to explore their vocation and encourage greater diversity in the Diocese and to promote lay and ordained ministry amongst people who may be under-represented in the Diocese. Read them
here

We are looking for stories to share. If you have a story or experience about coping through the pandemic, we would like to hear from you. Contact Lisa Williamson for more details.
