Friends and neighbors,

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT - NEW VACCINE DOSES ARE ARRIVING, SANTA CLARA COUNTY IMMEDIATELY OPENS AVAILABILITY TO EVERY RESIDENT 16+!!

On Tuesday, April 13, County leadership and public health officials announced anyone who lives or works in Santa Clara County ages 16+ may immediately begin scheduling their appointment to receive their vaccine.

This is a game changer!

We are excited to receive four-times the normal weekly allocation - enabling us to schedule thousands of more appointments.
Please click HERE for vaccine resources and to schedule your appointment -  available in English, Español中文Tiếng Việt & Tagalog.

With more appointments available, the County is adding staffing so we may expand hours of operations at our vaccination centers. Anyone age 16+ that lives or works in Santa Clara County is encouraged to immediately schedule their appointment at SCCFreeVax.org or contact their healthcare provider.

This week's announcement and welcomed change is spurred by the arrival of more than 250,000 Pfizer vaccine doses. Thanks to the Biden administration’s effort to increase vaccine supplies through the Federal Health Resources & Services Administration, Santa Clara County is able to open up to 16+ ahead of the State's April 15th timeline.

We have a long road ahead still, but right now we are helping to save lives. County leaders and public health officials ask everyone to please schedule their appointment as soon as possible, and to continue wearing a mask, follow safety guidelines and remain mindful to stay healthy.
Wednesday was my turn and I got my vaccine. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers at the County Employee vaccination site. Please make sure to schedule your appointment.

Santa Clara County residents have made an outstanding effort to fight this pandemic. Testing continues and positivity rates are staying low -  and now 50% of County residents have received at least one dose. If we continue to wear masks and be smart with our activities, we'll prevail.

Stay safe and contact us anytime if you have any questions or need assistance.

Warm regards,
