To best serve our communities during these unique times, Manchester and Middlesex Community Colleges continued to foster relationships with local and state representatives by hosting a "Virtual Forum for Legislators: Opening Opportunities for Higher Education" on March 18.
Capital-East Regional President Robert Steinmetz, Ed.D., emphasized the goals of achieving financially sustainable campuses and improving student outcomes. He appreciates the importance of the PACT program and the $6 million allocation that allows the program to continue, but requested additional funds to meet current and future needs.
"Remember the stories of our students. They are the future of our state," said Jane Gates, Ph.D., Interim President, Connecticut State Colleges and Universities. Dr. Gates reiterated the priority of keeping students as safe as possible while equitably improving their outcomes.
