To further our mission to develop excellent practitioners, the NASH Foundation will offer two scholarships to those studying to become professional homeopaths.
One was created in loving memory of Elizabeth Bonfig, the “heart” of NASH; the second, The Mrs. Prakash Vati Gupta and Dr. Dhanpat Rai Gupta Scholarship Fund, is a granddaughter's tribute to her grandparents, devoted homeopaths who served thousands at their free clinic in India.
Both will be awarded to homeopathic students who demonstrate passion, service and commitment to the profession of homeopathy. For more information, go to https://homeopathy.org/nash-foundation/scholarship-application/
We will be looking at candidates from among our NASH Student members who are studying on an undergraduate level. Students considered must be in their final years of their educational program.
The deadline for submission is June 30, 2021.

Opportunities and Events in Homeopathic Education
HOHM Office of Research
Our not-for-profit collects meaningful data from AHE/HHN initiatives with a goal of peer reviewed publications. Opening its doors in 2020, we’ve been busy with several projects and are excited to announce two peer reviewed publications:
- Gray, A. C., Steel, A., & Adams, J. (2021). Complementary medicine students' perceptions, perspectives and experiences of learning technologies. A survey conducted in the US and Australia. European Journal of Integrative Medicine. 2021 Jan 30:101304 https://doi.org/10.1016/j.eujim.2021.101304
- Gray, A. C., Steel, A., & Adams, J. (2020). Attitudes to and Uptake of Learning Technologies in Complementary Medicine Education: Results of an International Faculty Survey. The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. https://doi.org/10.1089/acm.2019.0319
More publications are on the horizon:
- A five-month audit of the HHN clinic.
- Publication looking at the role of technologies in homoeopathic practice and education, specifically perceptions and experiences of using homoeopathic software.
- An examination of the first three years of clinical data collected from the AHE clinic. Other publications stemming from this research data include compliance of AHE students and the culture change in an educational institution, as well as a paper examining the efficacy of MYMOP as a measurement outcome tool in the AHE student clinic.

The last NASH newsletter published an article about the newly founded Council of Homeopathy Schools and Colleges (CHSC) with one of the founding members being our school, Homeopathy School International (HSI). One of this organization’s main goals, stated in the newsletter, is to open communication between schools to improve levels of performance and educational outcomes. Thanks to a learning strategy at our school, HSI, we discovered ways to achieve the same goal on a very the personal level.
The flexibility to schedule our work at our own time was something that really attracted us to the HSI program. We also appreciated being familiar with studying from home long before the lockdown forced so many others to adjust to this new situation. For many different reasons this can be a big advantage but it can also leave students feeling isolated at times, as everybody works alone at their own pace. What solved this situation were partner requirements when we had to complete certain assignments in pairs. And this is how the two of us first “met” by email early in 2019, at the beginning of our second semester when we were paired for our very first partner assignment.
It was quite an amazing meeting indeed, as we almost immediately discovered that there’s a lot that we have in common in addition to studying homeopathy at the same school and being at the same point of our education. We realized that we live a 2-hour drive from each other and come from the same cultural background. We quickly connected and together started doing many homeopathy-related activities outside of our school. We joined the same homeopathic study groups and connected when planning different homeopathic events, often attending them together. On top of our occasional meetings in person we have been spending countless hours on the phone discussing whatever might occupy our minds in terms of homeopathy: exploring new homeopathic topics and ideas, talking about our own health issues, finding the best ways to study Materia Medica or Miasms, etc. During challenging times of our studies, we cheered each other up, discussed articles or lectures, and wondered what Hahnemann and Kent had in mind when saying this or that in the books we were reading. In this way we benefited by learning from each other greatly. Discovering and discussing various homeopathic approaches and being attracted to different methods only added to our friendship. After all, there’s nothing better for your own self-development than being challenged by a strong opponent who is also your very good friend.
Studying homeopathy with someone on the same level of education, being equally passionate about homeopathy and willing to talk for hours about this challenging subject has simply been the best way to go about it. Recently we were nicely surprised that both of us finished our 2nd year of studies and earned our CHom diplomas on exactly the same day unbeknown to each other! We now look forward to continue our advanced studies together and work on building a strong professional relationship.
Congratulations to IACH Alumni (Class of 2020) Amy Vincent and Frank
Russo who recently passed their CHC board certification exams!

IACH CURRENT ARTICLES:
A new article by Professor George Vithoulkas and Camelia Berhian-Grosan
was published in the Journal of Medicine and Life Vol. 13, Issue 3,
July-September 2020, pp. 278-282
Following is the abstract for this piece:
In the last 200 years, the action of the highly diluted homeopathic
remedies has been proved by their curative effect on the human organism.
In this work, a hypothesis concerning the mystifying question about this
action is proposed. The hypothesis suggests that any pathology, either
functional or structural, can be detected in the change of the overall
energy of the human body. Such energy is constituted by fields of force
according to quantum physics. More precisely, every disturbance of the
human organism affects the spin on electrons of different elements
within the human body, and their reset could take place with an agent
similar to the electromagnetic force that created the problem. This
statement has been proved by the correct homeopathic treatments, as it
can be seen in many published cases. The hypothesis is based on two
approaches, the idea of the spin of electrons and the vital force, and
their scientific relevance.

Dr. Morrison will draw from his 38 years of experience with homeopathy. He will discuss mental health issues and the use of homeopathic remedies, and how they have had a deep impact and profound action on the human psychology. He will be discussing in-depth: Cases, repertorization, analysis and materia medica.
Dr. Morrison believes that a deep knowledge of homeopathic remedies and increasing one's knowledge of the materia medica, leads to a strong foundation in homeopathic medicine.

CEU Requirements for NASH Registered Members
All Registered members are required to complete 20 CEU's for NASH at the time of your renewal. The CEU's need to occur within the current membership year. CEU's required for NASH do not carry over to the next year nor do they need to be from only ACHENA accredited schools. Documentation is becoming more and more important; keep track of what educational activities you participate in.
For a complete list of what can be used for CEU's, click here. If you have questions about your continuing education, please email nashinfo@homeopathy.org.
NOTE: NASH webinars cannot be used towards NASH CEU's as many have to do with business issues rather than clinical advancement.
