Join the Raleigh City Farm to celebrate BearthDay!

The Raleigh City Farm is excited to host their annual spring fundraising event — a dual celebration of our birthday and Earth Day!

This year marks the tenth year of Raleigh City Farm’s founding, and they'll be showing off all of the recent site improvements and introducing their new Farm Manager.

This year’s celebration is re-envisioned to ensure a fun and safe experience for visitors. Pre-order either a delicious three course meal from The Pounded Pig (with produce sourced from RCF!), or a family biscuit box. At pick up, enjoy a guided tour of the farm enhanced by plein air artists, musicians, and free cupcakes (while supplies last)!

MCAC 2021

February 4 marked one year since the City Council "disbanded" the CACs. In the past year, the Mordecai CAC regrouped and is going strong. The MCAC Leadership team is open and welcomes any resident of the Mordecai Community.  Our core group of 15-20 neighbors communicates regularly to plan meetings and share ideas for citizen engagement. We'd love to have more neighbors get involved. The MCAC still uses our formerly defined MCAC boundaries which include multiple neighborhoods as well as the Person Street business district, Seaboard Station, William Peace University, Halifax Community Center, Mordecai Historic Park, site of the future Devereux Meadows Park, and more!

Email chair@mordecaicac.org for info.  All are welcome to join.

The Leadership Team met on January 26 to brainstorm for meeting topics. Please reach out if you have topics or speakers to suggest!

In honor of Earth Day, our April 2021 meeting will focus on the environment. We will feature Raleigh Recycling, neighborhood and creek cleanups, the work of the MCAC Parks Committee, Heavy Metal Recycling, and more.
