Connection Grants support events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives. These events and activities represent opportunities to exchange knowledge and to engage with research issues of value to those participating. Launching this spring, the Healthy Cities Implementation Science (HCIS) Team Grants is a $27 million+ funding opportunity designed to support interdisciplinary teams implement and evaluate interventions in diverse urban contexts with the goal of improving health and health equity. NSERC Alliance Grants
Alliance grants encourage university researchers to collaborate with partner organizations, which can be from the private, public or not-for-profit sectors. Amount: $20,000 to $1 million per year for one to five years. If you are a Canadian university researcher who is eligible to receive NSERC funds, you can apply on your own or as a team with co-applicants who are also eligible academic researchers. SSHRC Explore Grants

SSHRC Explore Grants support high-quality research in the Faculty of Education by providing small funds to support early stage research activities (e.g., pilot research, archival research, synthesis or re-analysis of data collected through previously completed projects). CIHR Training Grant: Health Research Training Platform (HRTP) Pilot

CIHR Team Grant: Food Security and Climate Change in the Canadian North

Two new UBC prizes recognize public humanities engagement. One prize recognizes contributions of a tenured/tenure-track faculty member (research or educational leadership streams). CIHR Indigenous Gender and Wellness Team Grant

This funding opportunity is the third and final phase of a larger initiative for Indigenous-led teams to implement ideas through research and action-oriented, community-based participatory projects. The goal of these projects is to improve wellness for Indigenous Peoples from a gendered perspective. A total of $7,000,000 is available to fund approximately fourteen grants. UBC CFI Innovation Fund (IF) Internal Process and Timeline
