Proposed Reed Lane Development Public Meeting

There will be a virtual public meeting on Monday, April 12 starting at 5pm regarding a proposed 20 unit apartment development consisting of three 2-story buildings at Reed Lane and Hwy 97. City Council Workshop on Off-Street Parking Requirements

The Council will hold a work session on April 21, 2021 at 5:30 PM to consider a request by a councilor to explore reducing to zero the minimum number of parking spaces required for new developments. Staff will present information on the topic and the councilors can discuss it and direct the staff about possible next steps, such as drafting amendments to the Bend Development Code, which is where parking standards are set. The work session on parking requirements will be prior to the regular Council meeting on April 21st, starting at 5:30 PM. While open to the public, work sessions do not allow for pubic comments. Written comments can be emailed to council@bendoregon.gov.

Fire Free Event

Deschutes County is offering FireFree - free disposal of yard waste (needles, leaves, branches and brush) - May 1-16 at the Knotts Landing Landfill. You can get more information at firefree.org, or download their flyer.

Illegal Fireworks Committee

If you see or hear illegal fireworks, it is helpful to have a video of it happening. The illegal fireworks committee wants documentation of such events. If fireworks affect you and/or pets and you want to know more, please contact Southern Crossing’s representative on the Illegal Fireworks Committee at fireworks@bendscna.org.
