Update & Events

Time for a new riding season!  The warm weather is finally breaking through.  We had hoped for an opportunity to schedule our annual planning meeting in person, but that does not look like it's in the cards, so it's time to get on with it.

We will hold our Annual Planning and Business Meeting via a Zoom conference call on Thursday, April 29th at 7:00 p.m.   We will run through our ride schedule, report out on the past year, and hopefully find some new ways to have the club facilitate more rides for more riders.

Street Art - Early 2021 season ride in Detroit

This past year has had it's challenges, but the club did continue on with our full schedule.  Motorcycle riding is one of the best ways to social distance!  We made some adjustments and carried on.  We did more campsite cooking and had to forgo dining out many times, but we had a very fun season.

Washtenaw Ride - July 2020

The only ride that did not come together was the Fall Color Tour.  Mostly, because the usual suspects were all enroute home from a backcountry ride in New Mexico.

New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route - October

One casualty has been our Sunday morning breakfasts.  With limits on indoor dining and group sizes it just wasn't feasible to continue on.  The core breakfast crew has held Zoom breakfast meetings to stay in touch and recently has begun meeting again with a small group size on their own.

Ice Cream Ride to the Parlour, Jackson, MI - July 2020

The informal ways these breakfasts have continued is a testiment to the friendships that develop over years of riding together, and the shared experiences and laughs that come from solving problems on the road.

How many TCD'ers does it take to change a tire in the desert?  The answer is ten.  Two to wrench and eight to offer advice.

Mio, MI - We turned around before getting to the Bull Gap Hill Climb, let alone attempting it.  Bear Lake Ride - August 2020

Right at home at Old Man's Cave, Hocking Hills, Ohio.  TCD Ohio Ride 2020

We had a great turnout for the Edmund Fitz Run.  Warm weather and clear skies motivated everyone to make the ride up to East Tawas for our fall classic.

Time to get it all underway for this year.  We've been a little delinquent, so sorry for the delay - but we'll all be on the road with lots of rides very soon.
