Building Community Fund

The Diocesan Vision encourages us to be outward facing, rooted in and connected to our communities, so this new £100k fund is aimed at supporting local congregations to act with a generous faith, through engaging with and embracing the communities they seek to serve.

The projects this fund is seeking to support are those which see the church proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom in word and action especially projects that look to include and/or partner with, other groups or individuals in the host community, demonstrating meaningful and open engagement with those who have had little or no contact with the congregation.

You can apply for up to £2000 without match funding required.

Christian Aid Week
10 - 16 May 2021

This year, Christian Aid Week is being held from 10 to 16 May 2021 and like last year much of the focus is virtual due to the pandemic.

There are so many ways that you and your church can get involved including resources for prayer and worship, holding a virtual quiz, taking part in the 300,000 steps challenge, arranging envelope collections and much more.

The Christian Aid Week website has been fully updated for 2021.

If your church is getting involved then do share your planned activities with us at communications@derby.anglican.org or via social media @dioceseofderby.
