Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Assalamu alaikum

It is with great joy and love, that I reach out to you all at the start of the Blessed Month of Ramadan. The year has indeed been a difficult year for us all; nationally and internationally.
As Ramadan approaches we are reminded to pray that Allah blesses us with ease from this terrible virus and brings us light and better times for our collective futures. With the vaccination programme being in full swing, I hope that life will be able to return to some much needed face-to-face gatherings later this year.

I hope that you have enjoyed our programme of online Masterclasses, E-Circles, newsletters, Schools Training  as well as the amazing Ayah magazine. We have tried to remain relevant and active during this past year so that families can enjoy learning together and the spiritual growth that is so necessary for us all.

We hope that you are enjoying:
YM programmes for your 11 to 16-year-olds,
Sixth form circle for 16 to 18-year-olds,
Campus initiatives for 17 to 26 year olds,
and all the other activities that we have developed.

We also welcome back our Family Study Circle Packs. An opportunity for families to sit together (virtually where needed) and share some important lessons and remembrance of Allah. Please access the packs from here: https://www.isb.org.uk/ramadan-study-circle/

We hope that with your help and prayers, we will be able to organise even more exciting, inspirational  and creative events for the coming year IA. There is so much more we can do... together. Please do get involved with your ideas, energy, time and duas!

Meanwhile may I wish you all a fulfilling and spiritually enlightening Ramadan.

Your Brother

Have you ever wondered:

- Why didn’t the Prophet (S) ban slavery?
- How do we know that the Prophet would have liked to ban slavery?
- Why were Muslim countries the last to ban slavery?
-Raiding innocent villages for slaves may be barbaric but is this what Muslims did?
- Can you take people as moral guides - even when they kept slaves?
All these questions and more are addressed in this series of 4 videos on ‘Slavery’ with Dr Rizwan Syed - ACCESS HERE
