Professor Carol Dweck opens press conference on OECD PISA report on growth mindset 

This new report “Sky’s the limit: Growth mindset, students, and schools in PISA” provides analyses on student growth mindset. PISA collected international comparable data on “growth mindset” from nearly 80 countries/economies for the first time in 2018. The report sheds lights on how educators, policy makers and researchers can further support the potential of students around the world.

Does ‘harsh parenting’ lead to smaller brains?

Repeatedly getting angry, hitting, shaking or yelling at children is linked with smaller brain structures in adolescence, according to a new study published in Development and Psychopathology. Professor Ian H. Gotlib and other Stanford researchers joined a research team from Université de Montréal and the CHU Sainte‑Justine Research Centre to complete the study.
