TE TIRITI O WAITANGI:  Porirua ki Manawatū district inquiry (Wai 2200)

 
The Waitangi Claims Hearing Porirua ki Manawatū district inquiry (Wai 2200) commenced yesterday. 


The hearing is currently being held between Monday 12 April – Friday 16 April 2021, at Te Awahou Nieuw Stroom Foxton.


Ngāti Turanga claimants (Wai 1618) requested that their kōrero not be live-streamed yesterday which was agreed by The Presiding Officer.  


The Waitangi Tribunal Timetable for Hearing Week 5 in the Ngāti Raukawa phase of the Porirua ki Manawatū district inquiry (Wai 2200) attached has been received.

This is your final chance to apply for a position with our office.  We need a full time administrator providing reception and office support to ensure the smooth running of our office. 

The proposed hours of work are Monday to Friday.  This is currently a sole-charge position however the Trust has plans to expand its workforce in the near future. 

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate a knowledge and commitment to kaupapa Māori; can communicate clearly and effectively; demonstrates professionalism in the office maintaining confidentiality; is a self-starter; has an excellent work ethic; pays attention to detail and is punctual. The successful candidate will be a team player who demonstrates flexibility and is able to engage with diverse people.  

Key functions of the position are to ensure that manuhiri and callers to the office are made welcome; that the office is well-resourced in terms of filing, mail and general office supplies; that our trustees and directors are well supported; and that our member communications via social media and websites are top notch. 

Bring your high level of computer literacy, especially with Microsoft software; your accurate typing; excellent oral and written communication skills and your understanding of te reo me ona tikanga to an environment where we appreciate your abilities and where there’s always scope for more.
