LINKING CIRCULAR SUPPLY CHAINS IN THE US

The Accelerating Circularity initiative has recently launched a report that proposes links and material flows in a circular textile-to-textile system. Building on our earlier research on spent textiles, collectors, sorters, preprocessors, and recyclers that showed opportunities and gaps, this report illustrates models that will be tested in forthcoming Circular Textile System Trials. Join their webinar on Wednesday April 14 11:00AM EDT to learn more about this report through this link.

SWITCHING GEAR

On April 1st, we launched the Circular Toolbox: a free, online, step-by-step guide for apparel brands to launch a rental or resale business model in 10 months. The toolbox guides users through a five-step circular innovation process, from getting sign-off from the top and putting a team together all the way to piloting a new concept on the ground. Resources include design thinking and research tools, workshop sheets and facilitator’s guides, a podcast featuring brands that have undergone the same process and, crucially, specific guidance as to how and when to use each tool.

The toolbox brings together tools and insights from our Switching Gear project, where we guided four brands through the same circular innovation process.
