This Week's Spirit Gathering:
The last part - Act 3 - of our Spirit Gathering series based on the book of Acts resumes this Sunday.

Turning the World (and the Church) Upside Down! The early followers of Jesus were accused of 'turning the world upside down' with their message of good news. In our day, too, the gospel values of peace, justice and God's radical love for all people can clash with our consumer culture's values. How will we 'turn the world upside down' with the Love of God? (Acts 17:1-15 and 19:21-41)

Community Hub Update: Garden Cities and Landscaping
The Community Hub project has partnered with Garden Cities to develop the landscape around the Community Hub and project possibilities for the Kitchen. Learn more about Garden Cities here: gardencities.ca

This week the Times and Transcript ran two stories featuring Garden Cities  work with the Community Hub. If you have a Times and Transcript subscription, you can read the full articles by visiting: tj.news/story/101537207 and tj.news/story/101533206

You can also check out a post from Garden Cities by clicking HERE.

The goal is to have the landscape 'feed' the community and create a space that the community (including Visions United) can both help and enjoy the benefits.
This is very different from simply community garden plots, but rather an integrated 'edible' landscape.

We would like you, as part of our Visions congregation, to fill out the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_hCekUGsH8-oMzy1bjvJUhnGhre11D9WC1z9pYSONhMJ3WQ/viewform?usp=sf_link

The survey will help Garden Cities plan and design the landscape.

Let's add our voices!

Arrival of Syrian refugee family is delayed
The arrival of the Syrian refugee family (mother and 4 daughters) in Moncton, expected on April 16th, has been delayed. The mother and 2 daughters tested positive for Covid19. The entire family is together and being taken care of in a UNHCR hospital. The mother and daughters have very mild or no symptoms, so we are hopeful they will recuperate quickly and be able to travel to Moncton soon. Please keep the family in your prayers.
