Welcome - President Scott @ 5:30 pm

Guest Speaker - Leigh Ann Gonselves

Dagmar introduced Leigh Ann and the subject of her presentation, Waldorf Education.

Leigh Ann is affiliated with a k-8 school in London that operates on the principles consistent with the Waldorf education model.  Waldorf education attempts to integrate the cognitive, emotional and behavioural components of the child in a holistic manner.  Thus, Waldorf is associated with an approach that can be summarized as - head-heart and hands!
Waldorf education focuses on weaving the physical activities and social skills of children into stories about the human experiences.  This integrative approach is adapted to meet the developmental needs of the students.

Members had questions and comments.

Sandy thanked Leigh Ann for her work with children and her presentation.
