Message from the Pastor

“We are gifted for God’s purposes. If you receive a toolbox, cookware, or garden implements as gifts, you know that these are given with a specific use and purpose in mind. Yes, you can store them on a closet shelf and forget about them, but this denies the value for which they were created and shared.” - Rev. Dan Dick

This is a quote from the special Bible Study (Stewards of Our Faith: Service) material which we studied during Lent. One of the wonderful gifts that we as Wellspring have is our church building. I know many of you have been praying for and considering ways that we can use this space in God’s will. I am so happy to feel our prayers being answered.

The big room on the lower level, which had been empty for a while, is now filled with diapers and tissues as Lussier Center uses our space as a new storehouse for household, hygiene, baby, and other care items. We will have more people coming in and out as this “Support and Solidarity Network (SSN)” develops, and you are all invited to join this ministry. “I am confident of this, God who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6).

Maryanne's Take on the Bible Readings

Hello to all Bible readers. Though all the jelly beans and chocolate bunnies have been eaten, it’s still Easter, right up until Pentecost. A lot happened on that first Easter morning, as we saw last week, and at least one of this week’s readings will explore that day even further. Here are the lectionary choices for this week: Psalm 4; Luke 24:13-49; Acts 3:12-19; 1 John 3:1-7.
