Application Deadline Extended for Houston's Clean Energy Accelerator

Calling all energy startups working on solutions for a cleaner, more efficient and sustainable future! We’re now accepting applications for the Rice Alliance Clean Energy Accelerator through the end of April. Apply by Sunday, May 2nd at 11:59 PM for cohort 1 and gain access to the Rice Alliance network of energy corporations, investors, and advisors; proven and robust startup curriculum; and awareness and validation for your startup.
 
Virtual Accelerator. Real Impact. 
 
Launching virtually in June 2021, the 12-week Rice Alliance Clean Energy Accelerator is open to any early-stage startups that contribute to significant energy efficiency improvements, are developing energy derived from renewable, zero-emissions sources or are curbing the environmental impact of all types of energy production, distribution or usage or enabling progress towards net zero carbon.

The accelerator culminates at the Demo Day in conjunction with the 19th Annual Rice Alliance Energy Venture Forum that brings together more than 700 members of the energy industry.

The team is growing at the Rice Alliance Clean Energy Accelerator, and we're looking to bring on an Associate Director to assist with the planning and execution of the accelerator and associated events and support the executive director in implementing effective strategies to become a key component of Houston’s strategy for becoming a leading driver for clean and renewable energy innovation.

The ideal candidate has a passion for helping startups and for entrepreneurship and wants to be a leading force in the Houston entrepreneurship ecosystem and energy transition for a more sustainable energy future. If you have experience in the planning and management of complex, multi-day events and programs that require sharp attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills, we want to hear from you!

The Rice Alliance at Rice University has a 20+ year history of supporting startups, tech and the innovation ecosystem. Since inception, more than 960 energy tech ventures have participated in our energy forums and raised more than $6.6 billion in funding.
