Taking Flight - April 2021

April Newsletter:
Sexual Assault is Never Your Fault

The BeaLine (YouTube video)

Bea Black, CEO

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and also Sexual Assault Awareness Month. At the WCA, April is a month where we choose to focus on the message that sexual assault is never your fault. We do that by highlighting Denim Day, which takes place on the last Wednesday of April. This year Denim Day is on April 28th. Join us this month in supporting survivors, starting the conversation about consent and make a statement against victim-blaming.

2021 TWIN Awards

Join us virtually for the 28th annual TWIN Awards Event on Thursday, April 15th at 12 pm!

Poster Print-outs Available

Another way we reach vulnerable people is through posters that can be displayed in public bathrooms. We recently heard from Albertson’s corporate offices that they have these posters displayed in their women’s and men’s restrooms to reach people who may need our services.

Click here for a link to print posters if you know of somewhere that could benefit!
