The AAG April meeting was held this past Monday, at the Aiken Center for the Arts. We hope everyone who joined in person or via the Zoom link earlier in the day enjoyed the presentation by Nick Mackman. Nick shared some interesting insights and some humorous tales, so if you had to miss the meeting we did record Nick’s presentation and it can be seen by following the link below.
Please see the member show page on the AAG website for more show details and to sign up online.

MEMBERSHIP NEWS
MEMBERSHIPS and RENEWALS We are now past November 1, all renewals are now $45. As always, new memberships remain $40.
The nominating committee now has a full slate of candidates for the elections to be held during our May meeting. Thank you to everyone that has agreed to join the board for the upcoming year. As I am sure everyone realizes, we will continue to have many opportunities for volunteers so please watch out for the next opportunity. It is only through the volunteer efforts of all of our members that the AAG is able to continue its mission in our community. Please consider volunteering as the needs arise.
The ACA main gallery’s current exhibition will run through April 30.
One artist celebrating The Friends of Hopelands and Rye Patch is AAG member Brooks Brown.
I am going to use this piece by Brooks as an advertisement for submitting information about all the things within the art community that we are involved in along with pictures of our art to the newsletter. This is a great way to inform the membership and share our art. I am using this particular piece as the advertisement since I noted on Monday that it had been sold! To submit news to the newsletter simply use the “Submit News” button found in the newsletter link. More information about submissions to the newsletter is noted at the bottom of this page.
