Actively antiracist newsrooms that are representative of our society create journalism that is trusted by the community and holds powerful forces accountable. 

The role of the media is more important than ever today. Many alumni from our first two Maynard 200 Fellowship cohorts have already been promoted into newsroom leadership roles, where journalists of color have always been far and few between. The 44 fellows that are training with media experts right now will also be a part of this pipeline into leadership roles and uplift other journalists of color. 

It is our honor to do this work that leads to positive change in our communities, but we need your support.
