ART IN THE GARDENS 2021

Art in the Gardens is back! The event will be quite different this year, but all the same, we will be celebrating art and community amongst the dramatic summertime blooms of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. The three-day event will be packed with activities including daily art workshops, a "Saturday Soirée", and festivities on the Event Lawn featuring art vendors, live music, food, and drinks.

Check out the FULL EVENT SCHEDULE on our website!

Special event tickets for the workshops and the Saturday Soirée are available now! The rest of the festivities are free with general admission, advanced reservations are required.

BioBlitz Challenge
Now through June 19 | Self-guided activity at the Gardens

We challenge you to capture the biodiversity at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens between May 1 and June 19 using the iNaturalist app

Prize for "Most Observations"

Do you accept the challenge? A prize will be awarded to the individual with the most observations made within the boundaries of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens during the Spring BioBlitz (5/1/21 through 6/19/21). Win a Nature-Lover's gift basket chock-full of goodies to help you keep exploring. It’s easy to participate — your iNaturalist observations will automatically be added to the Spring BioBlitz Project if they are made during the challenge event and occur at the Gardens.

Our next Sprouts activity is...
Colors in Nature
June & July | Activity guides available at MCBG entrance or online

MCBG is offering a series of self-guided learning opportunities for children (best suited for K-6). Sprouts activities include handouts and sometimes fun tools to help kids dive into a variety of topics including birdwatching, colors in nature, pulley systems, getting to know trees, and more. These activities are available with regular Gardens admission.

This month's activity is Colors in Nature. Take the whole family on a relaxing journey through the Gardens as you search for plants, trees, rocks, and flowers that match the color cards... Learn a whole new appreciation for the expansive variety of hues found in our natural world.
