Hafa Adai Fellow Rotarians,
We have officially sponsored a Girl’s Youth Softball Team and the team name is……wait for it….”The Rotary Rails”! Rails as in the Guam Rail, as in the Koko Bird. Our awesome Media Director Kaz will be designing the uniforms and our Club will be providing the entrance fee along with much needed equipment. In March we talked about focusing on youth sports and now that various leagues have the green light, we were able to find a team. Once we get closer to opening day on May 22, we will send out some pics and hopefully their game schedule. GO DOUBLE Rs!!!
Don’t forget: Joint Rotary Clean-up is on April 24 @ 6am. Meet at the Fisheye parking lot in Piti. Bring a partner!
This week’s speaker is Kim Young, she is the President of Security Title and also fellow Rotarian Ron Young’s wonderful wife. She will be addressing our Club about the need to revise laws regarding the transfer of Titles, especially how the laws are written. There are ambiguities in the wording of these laws which end up hurting those involved in the ownership/sale of land. I know many of our members are owners of multiple homes or properties, this would be a presentation you would not want to miss. The clearer the law the easier it makes all our lives.
