We are asking the Knowing Jesus ABF, Young Adults, and Countdown to Marriage to attend the 10am Chapel Gathering - that would be so helpful! 

We will begin a new series this Sunday called Change My Mind as we learn about transformational thinking according to God’s Word.

FIVE WAYS TO GIVE
In response to God's generosity, and as a way to support many platforms of ministry and missions at Highland, we provide five ways to give: 1) Text giving at 254-220-4845  2) Give at the kiosks set up in the Lobby 3) Baskets and drop-boxes on Sundays 4) Set up recurring giving so your giving is planned and purposeful by clicking the button 5) Give through the HBC Waco app.

WELLNESS CENTER UPDATE
As we continue to move forward with the physical building, we also continue to move ahead with our current ministries. We still need to raise $266,088 to finish out the project. If the Lord puts it on your heart to give this week, would you consider doing so? We cannot wait to open the doors of this new building for ministry all around our neighborhood! NEW MEMBER CLASS
 
If you are interested in knowing more about Highland and what it means to be a covenant member, we would love to see you on Sunday, Apr. 25. There is a meal, a time to hear about the direction and beliefs of Highland, and staff will be present. Register for New Member Class HERE
 
FINISH WELL SENIOR ADULT SEMINAR 

On Saturday, Apr. 17, at 9:30am, in the Fellowship Hall, we are hosting a morning seminar on decluttering and downsizing, writing an obituary, and planning a funeral. Speakers include a few of our senior adults and Kay Tuel, a family counselor, hospital chaplain, and former instructor at BU on Death and Dying. To register, email Janet-Ross@hbcwaco.org or go HERE
DNOW 2021
 
THERE ARE ONLY A FEW DAYS LEFT TO SIGN UP FOR DNOW 2021!

It will take place Apr. 22-25! The weekend cost is $50 and there are scholarships available. This is a weekend purposed for retreat, food, fun, study of God’s Word, worship, and fellowship with other students. This year we will have grades and genders split for teaching times in host homes, but this will not be overnight. Sign up and view the schedule HERE
STUDENT UPDATES
 
This Sunday, Apr. 18, at 10am, we will meet in our grade specific classes for Student Connection. Wednesday, April 21, we will meet in home groups from 6:30-8pm! Check the website for the locations! 
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL UPDATE

VBS Mystery Island for all Kindergarten-5th Grade students is June 14-18, 9:30am-12:15pm. Register HERE

Join the VBS Team! It takes over 70 volunteers for VBS to run. For more information or to sign up to be a volunteer, go HERE
 
LITTLE YEARS

Join us for our next playdate on a farm tour in Valley Mills on Monday, Apr. 19, at 10am. Bring your little ones and enjoy some fellowship. Please RSVP to thelittleyears@highlandbc.org 
PRETEEN CAMP

"Lost and Found" Preteen camp will be June 28-July 2, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Camp, for completed 3rd - 5th Graders. The cost is $225 per child. Register HERE
PINE COVE CITY CAMP

Pine Cove City is coming to Highland July 26-30. We are looking for homes that would be willing to host counselors. If you are interested in being a host home or would like more information please contact Joanie-Swingler@hbcwaco.org 
30 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR KIDS

These are available at the Kid's check-in table or by emailing Joanie-Swingler@hbcwaco.org for a copy.  You and your children can use this time to pray for Muslims during Ramadan to come to know about Jesus and what He did for them.
BABY DEDICATION SUNDAY

PRAY FOR OUR NEIGHBORS: RAMADAN 
 
 
Pray for our Muslim neighbors and Muslims around the world. Ramadan is a time each year where Muslims have a heightened sense in relation to spiritual matters. This year Ramadan began on Apr. 13 and runs through May 12. Let us respond by praying with the heart and mind of Christ. If you would like a daily prayer guide, there are a limited number of copies available at the Go Table in the Life Center Lobby. If you would like a digital prayer option, you can sign up to be emailed daily prayer points throughout this season of Ramadan. 
A MINISTRY PARTNER OF HIGHLAND | ONE BODY INTERNATIONAL

The mission of OBI in Taiwan is to make followers of Jesus and empower them to walk in their identity in Him by the Holy Spirit, and train them to do the same thing with others. The vision is to see a discipleship movement of people marked by the works and ways of Jesus, which will permeate the nation of Taiwan and spread from there into all of Asia and the world.
PRAY FOR GLOBAL MINISTRY PARTNERS
 
Pray for our ministry partners, the Danner Family, serving in Taiwan. The island of Taiwan has seen minimal impact from Covid as compared to the rest of the world. But, they have still experienced intense protocol and lockdown. The Danners have continued to reach out to their neighbors and community in order to build friendships and share the Gospel. Please pray for their ongoing pursuit in sharing the Good News and making disciples. Also, pray that the Lord would make them a close-knit family as they navigate life and ministry in this pandemic season. 
GO GLOBAL
 
Save the dates for Go Global summer mission nights! We will meet at Highland each Wednesday evening this summer (June 2-July 14) where you will hear exciting reports of what the Lord is doing at Highland and among the nations. We all have a role to play in His global work: praying, going, giving, sending, and supporting missionaries and mission points throughout the world. Your worldview and understanding of God's mission will be expanded, challenged, and encouraged.
