This weekend...
This is another special weekend at Southpoint as we welcome our children and youth back to Sabbath School! Youth and Children's Ministry is a big part of what draws people to Southpoint and unfortunately, we had to scale down our Sabbath School classes to Zoom sessions, due to COVID, and we really missed our children. But we're coming back this Sabbath! It all begins Sabbath morning as we roll out the red carpet, literally, for our children.
 We want them to know just how special they are, so we're inviting members to be a part of our paparazzi team to take pictures of our young rock stars! Come before 10:30am and you can be outside or inside, taking pictures. The forecast says rain, so just be prepared! If you have children, dress them up and bring them to Sabbath School promptly at 10:30am, where we will welcome them with masks and open arms!
CHILDREN & YOUTH CLASSES INCLUDE:
Cradle Roll - 0 to 4 years old
Kindergarten - 5 and 6 years old
Primary - 7 to 9 years old
Early Teens - 10 to 12 years old
Teens - 13 to 18 years old
Due to this weekend's weather forecast, there will be no Third Sabbath Tailgate Lunch. Let's hope and pray we can resume our Third Sabbath Tailgate Lunch on May 15!

Sabbath School begins promptly at 10:30am and divine worship service begins at 11:30am. We look forward to seeing our church family! If you cannot join us in person, we are streaming online and you can join us there. Either way, we look forward to worshipping with you this Sabbath.
SUNSET
The Sabbath is God’s perpetual sign of His eternal covenant between Him and His people. Joyful observance of this holy time from evening to evening, sunset to sunset, is a celebration of God’s creative and redemptive acts.

ADULT SABBATH SCHOOL
Join us each Sabbath morning at 10:30am in the sanctuary or online. We've started a new quarter and for the next 3 months we will study "The Promise: God's Everlasting Covenant." This quarter, we will look more closely at what God’s covenant is, what it offers, even what it demands. If you don't have a Bible Study Guide for second quarter 2021, you can pick one up this Sabbath in the church lobby or study online. This Sabbath, we will review Lesson 3, "All Future Generations."

SOUTHPOINT FAMILY CAMP 2021
Family Camp at Camp Kulaqua will be September 10-12. There are 4 chalets and 2 rooms in the lodge left to reserve and prices are for the whole weekend. Prices are non-refundable and a $50 deposit is needed to hold your reservation. Off-campus arrangements will be shared at a later date. We hope you and your family and friends will join us! This is also a great way to introduce a friend to our church family in a very relaxed atmosphere.

ALL PERSONS 18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE VACCINE IN FLORIDA
As of Monday, April 5, all Florida residents shall be eligible to receive any COVID-19 vaccine as prescribed by the Food and Drug Administration.
PERSONS AGES 16-17: The Pfizer vaccine is authorized for persons age 16 and up. The Moderna vaccine is authorized for persons age 18 and up. All individuals under the age of 18 receiving a vaccine must be accompanied by a guardian and complete the COVID-19 vaccine screening and consent form. To download a copy of the form, click here.

FOOD PANTRY
Our pantry workers and the food recipients truly miss the personal touch they receive as part of this ministry. "Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Savior mingled with people as one who desired their good. He showed sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He invited them, “Follow Me.” (Ministry of Healing, p. 143)
Food distribution on Mondays begins at 6:00pm. On Fridays, food distribution begins at 1:00pm.
Volunteers are needed on Fridays, 9am to 12 noon and noon to 4pm. We also need volunteers that can drive on Wednesday mornings to do pick up for food. If you are interested, please contact Tina Ephraim, 904-476-3462.

THE CHOSEN
A charismatic fisherman drowning in debt. A troubled woman wrestling with real demons. A young tax collector ostracized by society. A religious leader questioning his faith tradition. The Chosen is a television drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, created, directed and co-written by American filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. It is the first multi-season series about the life of Christ, and season one was the highest crowd-funded TV series or film project of all time. The series' creators stated that they had hoped to distinguish the new series from previous portrayals of Jesus by crafting a multi-season, episode-based story. The series portrays Jesus "through the eyes of those who met Him".
If you haven't watched any of The Chosen yet, you're in for a real treat! You can watch it by downloading The Chosen app. There are 8 episodes in season 1 and, so far, three episodes in season 2. You'll want to watch them in order. It's also a cool way to introduce Jesus to someone who doesn't know Him yet.
