How do we support our Summerfair mission?
Usually in this section of our newsletter, we tout how we give to artists and the arts in Greater Cincinnati. However the next couple months will be about how we bring in funds to support our year-round giving. (Well a $12,000.00 check was just written to ArtWorks to support the students at their summer mural program!)
We are still looking for Outside Volunteers to help run Summerfair 2021. If you know someone who is willing to work one short shift have them email - OSV@summerfair.org - or visit https://summerfair.org/get-involved/volunteer-job-info/
If you are a Green Shirt please attend the next two meetings. April 19th at the Anderson Center 6:30-9:00 as well as May 24th at Coney Island for the Walk-thru and meeting - 6:00 for dinner followed by all the info needed for the fair.
The billboards will be going up around the city in 2 weeks. Metro buses will be rolling with our ads inside and out very soon as well! Both places are excited to present what they are calling vibrant art work.
Speaking of vibrant art work... (see below) .....the Summerfair 2021 poster by Amy Panfalone was debuted at the Anderson Center this past Sunday. The turn out was terrific. Mentions on channels 5, 9, 19, Cincinnati People and the Enquirer certainly helped. Ticket sales on Eventbrite opened that day as well. Orders have not stopped streaming in for an event that is still 2 months away. Over 50 single day and 40 multi-day tickets have already been sold!
There are 267 artists that will fill 295 booth spaces. They will be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks will be mandatory, only Acoustic entertainers will be entertaining, food and drink will be enjoyed in designated spaces only and our Youth Arts area is shuttered for this year only.
Our new hours: Friday 12-7, Saturday 10-7, Sunday 10-5 will be in effect. The new layout, with no Yellow Court or Moonlite Gardens, but Green Square where the rides used to be will be this years challenge.
