Driving the future of young people

Cessnock City Council has partnered with Youth Express and RGH Driver Training to deliver professional driver training and mentoring to young people in the Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA). The training is aimed at breaking down potential barriers to employment.

Transport issues and the lack of a driver’s licence are a primary obstacle to gaining employment for young people, particularly in regional areas. The Cessnock Youth Driver Training Program provides a pathway for local youth to achieve a driver’s licence.

e-Commerce Strategy Workshop Series

For NSW businesses, selling online gives access to new customers and markets without many of the challenges, risks and expenses of establishing a physical presence.
To harness the opportunity to export products or services, businesses need to develop a strategy to improve their e-commerce and online sales channels.

Mayoral Scholarship Recipients Announced
Succesful receipeints of the Mayoral Scholarship were announced earlier in the month following a quaint presentation ceremony.
Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent, stated that the scholarship program aims to help young people develop job-ready skills for industries that offer gainful employment in the Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA).
