Updates from the CEE

Strengthen student engagement in service-learning as a participant in the 2021-22 Engaged Scholars Academy (ESA). The ESA is a professional development program for faculty desiring to further integrate service-learning into courses and engage in scholarship directly benefiting society. Engaged Scholars transform course content by developing mutually beneficial partnerships with external collaborators that result in real-world experiences for students. Applications close Friday, May 14, 2021.

Want to learn more about the Engaged Scholars Academy? Join us from 1-2pm on Tuesday, April 20th, during EE Week, for the Engaged Scholars Academy (ESA) Panel. ESA alumni will provide insight about their experiences participating in the ESA as well as discuss the projects that they developed and implemented through this process. The Faculty and Student Research branch of the CEE is excited to announce the application is now open for FSIG (internal research) grants, to be due on April 28th! For more information and an application packet, click here.

Groups of currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students who have been accepted to present can apply for Student Scholarly Travel Grants of up to $1000 per student to help defray costs associated with attending professional conferences, exhibits, and performances for the purpose of presenting research results and other scholarly activities. Applications are due on May 12. Apply here!

The Tarleton Libraries has entered into agreements with Cambridge University Press and Company of Biologists for Tarleton authors to publish their accepted works as open access without need for an article processing charge.
