Garden Start Giveaway!
"Share the Bounty" event this Saturday, 9-2
Come on down to the Anacortes Farmers Market on April 10th and look for TF&Fs' free produce stand, which will be full of starts ready to grow in your garden. It's our gift to you!
Our Garden Start Giveaway will be partnered with a Seed Exchange, including info on how to save your seeds for the next season. Saving seeds is important, fun, money-saving, and a way to become more self-reliant and increase our community's food security.
No need to bring seeds to get seeds! But if you do have seeds to share, please put them in small envelopes (or folded and taped handmade packets). Label them as to what variety they are, and any other info you think useful.
You're also welcome to bring donations of root sections of perennial veggies (rhubarb, horse radish, asparagus, etc.). Please place individual pieces in small bags or boxes and label as to what they are and what they need.
Also, we'll also have on hand for purchase Eating Locally and Seasonally, a treasure of a book that shares not only 385 recipes but a way of living built on nourishing a healthy, reciprocal relationship with the Earth.
